Experience system
A new interface to provide to users a better way to communicate. The idea was to create a new media that is more complete than what we are used to with convential media (email, letter, etc). Mixing photos, videos and sounds that a user captures with a device similar to a digital camera, an emotional ambiance is then assigned to those media within the interface. The emotional ambiance is the container of all elements providing a visual trigger to explain an emotion (sounds, lines, colors, etc). A touch screen display helps the user to navigate through the customization of the experience.
The leaves of the tree are connectors to receive the memory chips used in the digital camera. By touching a leaf, the user can open a folder of a singular experience. The experience can be sent by email or can be materialized through the memory chip. Ikebana is a poetic experience system that provides the user another dimension to communication (lines, colors, rythms, etc) connected with the actual media.
With one experience, it's possible to interpret several different meanings with emotional ambiance. That's why this mean of communication can be a strong addition on how we communicate. If emotional ambiance can change the meaning of the message, we should closely look on how we integrate this communication add on.
As an example, the two videos show above are based on the experience of living in France, the first with the emotion ambiance of joy and the second with nostalgy.
